Tortillas from CrystalP
I have been looking for a tortilla recipe for a while. My MOPS friend Crystal posted these (from her Aunt who lived in Mexico) for me to try:
Mix 4 cups of flour,1tsp salt and 1\4 tsp Baking powder together.
Then stir in I\2 cup oil. Then stir in 1 1\4 cup warm water until mixed but no longer.
Form into balls (about 14) and cover and let rest for 15 minutes.
Then roll out like pie crust but thinner (we are going to press these with our tortilla press. and cook on both sides in an ungreased skillet until slightly browned.
Via my Aunt Wendy who missioned in Mexico. (Thanks Wendy – they are awesome!!!)
